Baptism Messy Church

On Saturday 13th July 2019we had 29 children and 42 adults in church to attend Messy Baptism which was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Rev Bob commented on how much he had enjoyed the day and how pleasantly surprised he was as it was his first Messy Church.

Clare told the story of Jesus Baptism and everyone enjoyed getting very wet with a large water pistol every time there was a ‘baptism splash’.  Then everyone enjoyed crafts based on the symbolism within the Baptism Service, including water play in the newly relocated font, paper doves, cross prayer cards, promise bracelets, candle making and making lava lamps with oils.

Bob had spoken to some of the adults present regarding baptism as he was made aware some of the children had not been baptised. We are all hopeful they will consider this step for their children in the future.
